PHILLY CIDER WEEK
Web design & development, branding & identity, writing, print & social layouts
Skills: Graphic design, web design, illustration, branding, content writing, social media, email marketing

Live link: https://phillyciderweek.com/
Info: One of my longest-standing clients, Philly Cider Week, and I have worked together to build its brand and organization since inception in 2018. In 2022, we set out to completely overhaul the website, starting from scratch to build a new one. I designed and developed it. We also overhauled the general look and feel of the brand, implementing new images and icons to the identity, and revising the color palette into something bold, bright and simple. I wrote the majority of the copy for the new site, as well as built its venue registration system. Beyond the web, I’ve also created a series of print marketing materials.

A few years ago he started a new personal brand, and began working on new projects. There’s a tiki bar & Chicago style pizza restaurant called Hook & Master, a taqueria called Distrito, a plant based burger joint called Livy’s, and a polla a la brasa spot called Rustika. He has also done a video cooking series called Cooking Space, started working on a line of prepared food called AyO, and operates a consultancy for other restaurants/hospitality-based businesses. I’ve worked with him on the design-end of all his new projects, including web design and build-outs, print marketing design, packaging design, logos/branding/identity, and menu design. I work with Jose’s team on a monthly basis as their main graphic designer, fulfilling whatever needs they have in the moment.

Fell to Earth Branding & Dumpster Juice Vermouth
Work: Branding, Identity, Packaging Design, Web Design, Web Development
Tools: Illustrator, Photoshop, Squarespace, CSS/HTML/Javascript
Info: The creators of the ever-popular small batch Philly vermouth called Dumpster Juice decided it was time to expand into a full brand. The plan is to keep making Dumpster Juice as its own product under a new label called Fell to Earth. Philly’s first vermouthery came to me for branding and identity, and we decided to build a brand system heavily illustrative and heavily influenced by naturalism, Art Nouveau, the Arts & Crafts movement, and other 19th Century art philosophies. Before it became FTE, I made all the original labels for Dumpster Juice as well.

JOY Album Release
Client: Seazoo
Work: Album Art/Single Art, Packaging Design, Album Layout, Merch Design, Typography, Animation
Tools: Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects
Info: I worked with a Welsh noise pop band called Seazoo as they prepared to release their full length album, JOY. We began by designing digital-only covers for each of the three singles they released ahead of the album. I also illustrated and laid out the 12” itself, as well as designed merch and ads around the album’s release.
Bloomsday Menus
Client: Bloomsday Cafe
Work: Menu design and layout, illustration
Tools: Indesign, Illustrator
Info: Bloomsday is a restaurant and wine bar in Philly, founded by a group of locals who share a vision for natural wine and Spanish-style restaurant culture. I helped them develop their existing brand into a series of functional imagery, the most significant project being the creation of their extensive set of menus. Today, they are scaled back and serving dinner only, as well as focusing on their retail wine shop, specializing in natural, organic and biodynamic wines, as well as one of the city’s largest selections of conservas/canned fish. Here’s the original menus from the morning, noon, and night days.
